Dolomite Grinding Mill

28/07/2021 admin

Dolomite grinding mill is a highly efficient industrial grinding mill, it can grind dolomite into a fine powder(150-3000 mesh). In addition, it can grind other 100+ kinds of non-metallic ores, such as limestone, talc, gypsum, kaolin, mica, etc.

What is dolomite & it uses?

Dolomite is a carbonate mineral, including iron dolomite and manganese dolomite. Dolomite is the main mineral component of dolomite and dolomitic limestone.

Dolomite can be used in building materials, ceramics, glass and refractory materials, chemical industry, agriculture, environmental protection, energy-saving, and other fields.

It is mainly used as a flux for alkaline refractory materials and blast furnace iron making, production of calcium-magnesium phosphate fertilizers, and preparation of magnesium sulfate, as well as ingredients for the production of glass and ceramics.

Dolomite powder is usually used as the raw material for the production of high-grade glassware, medical bottles, and optical glass.

It is limited in the amount of paint and is limited to use as a filler, mainly acting as a white pigment.

Dolomite crushing and grinding process

To obtain dolomite powder, the dolomite ore is processed through beneficiation, coarse crushing, medium crushing, powder grinding, grading, and packaging.

1. Crushing stage: Large pieces of material are crushed by the crusher to the fineness (15 mm-50 mm) that can enter the mill.

2. Grinding stage: Small pieces of material that meet the conditions will evenly enter the grinding chamber of the dolomite grinding mill. They enter the chamber through the feeding system quantitatively, and grind into powder in the mill cavity.

3. Classification stage: the ground material will pass through the classifier and the system’s airflow for classification. The unqualified powder is returned to the grinding cavity of the main engine to be ground again.

4. Powder collection stage: The powder that meets the fineness will enter the powder collection system through the pipe along with the airflow. The gas and powder are separated, and the finished powder is sent to the finished product silo by the conveying device. Finally, they are packaged with a powder tanker or an automatic packing machine.

Types of dolomite grinding mill

dolomite vertical mill

CLUM Vertical Roller Mill

The ultra-fine vertical roller mill is suitable for mass production, and the fineness of the finished powder can reach 3000 meshes.

It can grind solid ores into a fine powder, such as marble, talc, calcite, calcium carbonate, bentonite, and so on.

Especially suitable for fine powder production in high-end industries, such as the paper industry, etc.

Dolomite Grinding Mill

HGM Ultrafine Powder Mill

This ultra-fine powder mill can grind solid materials into a fine powder, and the finesse of the product can be adjusted between 300-2500 meshes.

HGM series powder mills have a lot of advantages:
Small footprint
low energy consumption
simple operation
saving labor costs
Cost-effective
Special materials, the long service life of accessories

What is dolomite powder used for?

Dolomite powder is an anhydrous carbonate mineral powder, mainly composed of calcium and magnesium carbonate. It can be used as a raw material for the production of high-grade glassware, medical bottles, and optical glass.

Common dolomite powders are fine powder 140 meshes, super fine powder 325 meshes, 600 meshes, 1000 meshes, 1600 meshes, and above.

Used as putty powder
Production fineness: within 200 mesh

Used in plastics, coatings and other fields
Production fineness: 250-300 mesh

Used in the production of cables, PVC, etc.
Production fineness: above 800 mesh

Used to make toothpaste, soap, etc.
Production fineness: 400-600 mesh

Used as a raw material for paints, coatings, etc.
Production fineness: above 1250 meshes

Used in the chemical industry, etc.
Production fineness: 350-400 mesh

First, dolomite powder can be used in ceramics, construction, glass, chemical industry, agriculture, environmental protection, refractory materials, and other fields.

Secondly, dolomite powder can be used to produce calcium-magnesium phosphate fertilizer, prepare magnesium sulfate, and produce glass and ceramic ingredients. Dolomite powder can also be mainly used as a flux for alkaline refractories and blast furnace iron making.

Finally, the dolomite powder can be used as the refractory inner layer of the reforming furnace used in steelmaking, kiln industry, fertilizer, building and decoration stone, paint, etc.

FAQ:

1. What are the Dolomite grinding mills types and specifications?

If you want to grind dolomite into powder size, you should know some information about the following grinding mill machines: Raymond mill, High Pressure Grinding mill, and Three-Ring Micro Powder grinding mill.
Raymond mill is the most famous but traditional grinding mill machine. It can be used for grinding more than 300 kinds of materials into powder size (30-325 meshes) with the capacity of 0.15 tons per hour to 9 tons per hour. Even though Raymond mill is an old-style grinding mill machine, it has a feather of large grinding ratio, adjustable output size, and fine final size.
High-Pressure Grinding Mill is perfected at the basic of Raymond mill in the following aspects: larger grinding ratio, larger capacity, finer output size, less consumption, better and more identical powder size, etc. The high-pressure grinding mill can reach the capacity of 22 tons per hour, which is the largest capacity in the three grinding mill machines.
A micro powder grinding mill is used for grinding superfine output, such as 2500 meshes. But its capacity is smaller compared to the other two grinding mill machines.

2. What is a dolomite grinding mill?

As we all know, dolomite is mainly composed of calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate minerals. Dolomite powder is mainly used in building, ceramics, glass and refractory materials, chemicals and agriculture, environmental protection, energy-saving, and other fields. With the further development of industry, investors exploiting dolomite have grown larger.
