Chalk is loose earthy calcite or limestone, the main chemical component is CaCO3, and the main mineral component is biological micrite calcite. For those with a purer texture, the calcite content can reach more than 99%. It often contains impurities such as quartz, feldspar, clay minerals, and sea green stone.
According to the color and degree of cementation, chalk can be divided into four types: white chalk (CaCO3 content reaches 99), marl chalk, chalk-like limestone, and glauconite chalk.
The chalk is white in color and highly dispersible. The particles are round in shape, fragile, and have little water absorption. Poor cementation, easy to crush, and strong coating ability.
Chalk is widely used in rubber, paper, paint, plastics, pigments, coatings, ceramics, sugar, casting, as well as grease, sealants, etc.

So how to make chalk powder?
Crushing stage: Large pieces of material are crushed by the crusher to the fineness of the feed material (10mm-25mm) that can enter the ultrafine grinding mill.
Grinding stage: Small pieces of material that meet the conditions for entering the mill are uniformly and quantitatively fed into the grinding chamber of the mill through the conveying and feeding system, and pulverized in the grinding cavity.
Classification stage: the ground material will be classified by the classifier along with the airflow of the system, and the unqualified powder will be classified by the classifier and returned to the main machine grinding cavity for re-grinding.
Powder collection stage: The powder that meets the fineness enters the powder collection system through the pipeline with the airflow, and the gas and powder are separated. The finished powder is sent to the finished product silo by the conveying device and then is packaged by a powder tanker or an automatic baler.
The equipment needed for the chalk processing process includes jaw crushers, bucket elevators, storage bins, vibrating feeders, micro powder mills, powder classifiers, powder collectors, pulse dust collectors, high-pressure fans, electrical control systems, etc. The chalk is crushed by a crusher, pulverized into powder by an ultrafine grinding mill, and then powdered by a powder separator. The fine powder that meets the requirements is the finished product and is discharged through the discharge valve.
